 1) Guillaume, der Ältere, * Lyon 25. 4. 1677, ✝ Paris 20. 2. 1746, Vater von 2), Bruder von 3); Schüler seines Onkels A. Coysevox, verbrachte einige Jahre in Rom und war nach seiner Rückkehr mit seinem Bruder für die königlichen Bauten und Gärten tätig (Schloss und Park von Versailles u. a.). Sein Hauptwerk sind die ursprünglich für das Schloss von Marly geschaffenen »Rossebändiger« (1740-45; heute Paris, Place de la Concorde). Coustou schuf auch religiöse Bildwerke und Porträtstatuen.
 
 2) Guillaume, der Jüngere, * Paris 19. 3. 1716, ✝ ebenda 13. 7. 1777, Sohn und Schüler von 1); bildete sich 1735-40 in Rom aus; schuf besonders in königlichem Auftrag mythologische und religiöse Skulpturen, auch zwei Statuen für Friedrich des Großen (Mars und Venus, Sanssouci).
 
 3) Nicolas, * Lyon 8. 1. 1658, ✝ Paris 1. 5. 1733, Bruder von 1); Schüler seines Onkels A. Coysevox, war 1683-86 in Rom, schuf allegorische Figuren und Figurengruppen für die königlichen Schlösser und Gärten (Versailles, Marly), auch eine Pietà (Notre-Dame, Paris).
